All three parts of the course will be held at Delaware Valley Sports Center located at 101 Geiger Rd. Philadelphia, PA 19115

Do what you love, and train others to love it too. The NRA basic rifle shooting course is a very popular course, and it is the nation wide standard for all of those looking to be trained and certified. You will learn how to use a tried and true NRA method of training.

Your students will walk away with a sense of accomplishment knowing that they were trained the right way when they have an NRA certified instructor standing behind them as their mentor.

All instructor candidates will receive the NRA trainers guide, the NRA Rifle course outline and binders. When you become an NRA instructor you will have access to special discounts on training gear through the NRA store. You will also have access to the NRA training materials center.

I do require instructor candidates to be an NRA member. Join the NRA here. The NRA has an "instructor credentialing" fee of $30 for a 2-yr term you will pay this after the class on the NRA website.

All candidates MUST complete the NRA Basic Rifle Shooting course. This is so you can see the way things are taught. As a result of you taking it you'll receive the basic rifle shooting handbook which will be needed to take the rifle instructors course.

This is a three part course lasting a total of 24 hours over three days. (8 hrs per day)

Part one: Take the 8hr basic rifle shooting course ($200). This class will be held on Friday Aug. 21st from 9am - 5pm. You can take this course with any NRA rifle instructor, I'll just need a copy of the certificate.

Part two: 6hrs “Basic Instructor Training” (BIT). The BIT is required for all new NRA instructors and costs ($100). The BIT will be held on Saturday Aug. 28th from 9am – 3pm and part three will pick up immediately.

Part three: 10hrs Rifle instructor portion cost ($200). This is required by everyone attending. Part three will be held Saturday the 28th from 3pm – 6pm and Sunday the 29th from 9am – 4pm.

What to bring to class:

• Eye and ear protection

• A rifle anywhere from 22lr to .308 (whatever you shoot best with)

• 60 rounds of ammunition

• Note taking material

• The "Basics of rifle shooting handbook" that you received in the basic rifle course

If you don’t have a rifle that fits these parameters I will loan you an AR-15 chambered in 5.56 just supply the ammunition (no reloads).

Ammunition is available for sale on site.

Seats will fill quickly so reserve your seat ahead of time. For groups of 5 or more, special dates can be arranged. Weekdays are available if you decide to go this route.
